The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office H.E.A.T. Unit attended the Golden Shields Honors Banquet hosted by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS). The CCSO H.E.A.T. Unit along with the Patrol Division were awarded second place for the DUI Agency Hero Award and first place for the Agency of the Year Award. These awards were awarded based on not only enforcement efforts, but also involvement with the local Teen Vehicle Operators Course, our partnership with Abby’s Angels Foundation, and our educational programs for high school teens.
