Coweta County Records 19 DUI Arrests over July 4th Holiday

COWETA COUNTY – Booking records provided by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office show that 16 bookings during the 2024 July 4th Holiday included DUI-related charges. This is up from 6 DUI-related bookings during the 2023 July 4th Holiday. All 16 bookings are for DUIs that occurred during the time period. 

Two of the bookings; Susan Renea Drew, and Gary Derrell Godfrey were for driving under the influence of drugs, while the remaining 14 suspects were cited for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Two of the bookings; Charles Davis Lloyd, and Quentina Samone Roberts have charges that include endangering a child by driving under the influence meaning children were present in the vehicle at the time of them being stopped.

Bruce Donald Blanks, who was booked on July 5th, seems to have an issue with legally celebrating the 4th of July without drinking and driving. Booking records show that Blanks was booked for DUI last July 4th as well.
