Husband shows up to Wife’s DUI stop, Gets his own DUI
Just before 1 AM on December 25th, 2024, a deputy patrolling in the area of Highway 154 and Homeport Dr. preformed a traffic stop on a Lexus that he observed speeding.
After making contact with the driver of the vehicle, Jacqueline Polk, 55, of Newnan, the deputy initiated a DUI investigation and requested a second deputy to respond to the traffic stop location.

While investigating Mrs. Polk’s DUI, deputies informed dispatch that the suspects husband, Charles Ray Polk, 54, of Sharpsburg had pulled up to the traffic stop.
After making contact with Mr. Polk, a second traffic stop was initiated and a second DUI investigation was conducted.

As a result of both investigations, each suspect was arrested and charged with the following charges.
Jaqueline Polk, 55, of Newnan, GA
- DUI – DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL (M)
- SPEEDING (M)
Charles Ray Polk, 54, of Sharpsburg, GA
- DUI – DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL (M)
Jail records show that both suspects were released on bond just after Noon on Christmas Day.
